Introduction
XLPE insulated power cables for rated voltages of 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) is used to transmit power on the power transmission and distribution line of A.C.50Hz, rated voltage 1kV or below. They are specifically suitable for use in industrial applications, particularly underground installations, where additional mechanical protection is required. These cables can be securely installed on cable trays, within conduits, or fixed to walls.
Its core characteristics include: using high-strength steel wire (usually 0.5-2.0mm in diameter) tightly wound to form a mechanical protective layer, with a tensile strength of up to 400-800MPa, which can effectively resist external impact and rodent damage. The armor layer also provides grounding protection (resistance ≤ 5 Ω/km), suitable for high mechanical stress scenarios such as underground direct burial and industrial plants, such as harsh environments such as oil platforms (salt spray corrosion resistance) and tunnel engineering (compressive strength ≥ 10kN/m). When selecting, it is necessary to match parameters such as burial depth (if ≥ 1.2m, thicker armor is required) and corrosiveness (galvanized steel strip is recommended for acidic soil). Installation should maintain a minimum bending radius (usually 12 times the cable diameter).
